David J. Rosenberg Middle School Teacher
David Rosenberg is excited to be teaching a unique interdisciplinary Humanities course to middle-schoolers for the first time at SJDA. Dr. Rosenberg obtained his Ph.D. in 2007 in German Language and Literature and for the last two years served as the co-founder and instructor of the Humanities program at Providence Hall Prep School in downtown Santa Barbara. He is dedicated to student-centered instruction and the Classical Great Books approach. In his spare time Dr. Rosenberg surfs and plays a mean guitar.
Education: Former UCSB student; Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation from San Jose State University with a minor in Business. Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physics & Physical Science.
Experience: Taught Physics at Independence High School (San Jose, CA), Taught 7th Grade Life Science, 7th Grade Earth Science, and 8th Grade Physical Science at Santa Barbara Junior High. Advisor for the Santa Barbara County Science Fair winner (2005). School advisor for RoboChallenge, a partnership with UCSB Dept. of Engineering and county schools. Captain of 2 State Championship Teams; 2000 Washington State Junior High Team Champions Kingsway Christian, and 2004 Oregon State High School Team Champions Portland Christian High.
